D. & G. LIVESTOCK, while based in the Mary Valley, is a resident Agent at Coolabunia Stud Selling Complex, Kingaroy and aims to service the needs of cattlemen and women primarily in southern Queensland. We have in excess of forty years of cattle breeding and industry experience. Consistent attention to on
property inspections has helped to assure that both buyers and vendors
alike, are not disappointed at the sales. Buyers have travelled
from W.A., N.S.W., far Western Queensland and from Northern Queensland
- to attend these sales. This enables buyers from
clean country to take immediate delivery of their purchases on the
day providing they have been scratched "clean".
Should cattle be found ticky by DPI trained staff, this is announced by the team of
auctioneers during the sale. Buyers from 'clean country' should
also note that the saleyards are designated as 'ticky' and all cattle
going to tick free areas, including those who have been already
scratched 'clean' ..... are required to have a final dip before
livestock carriers take delivery. Special thanks also to Kingaroy Shire Council and Staff who have caught the vision D. & G. Livestock presented them with and who have created an excellent Stud selling Complex to compliment the saleyards at Coolabunia. Permanent seating, sale ring, auctioneers' platform and several picnic tables are accommodated under a roof. A kiosk run by Mrs Conomos offers hot and cold food and drinks, and patrons are able to relax in the cafeteria if they wish. Our Sales are a great day out for the family!
