A good line up of buyers were in attendance for this 2nd Annual Sale of registered and commercial cattle. A total of 234 head grossed $281,000 to post a 96% clearance overall. There were 70 bid cards issued with buyers in attendance from Clermont, Mitchell, The Downs, Bundaberg and local areas. In the registered section – 32 Cows & calves averaged $2,548 to a top of $6,200 19 Joined females averaged $1,497 to a top of $2,500 28 Unjoined females averaged $1,282 to a top of $3,500 A total of 79 averaged $1,847
Boystown dispersed their herd of 51 head to a top of $2,600. Commercials sold to $950 and averaged $717 for 104 head.
Jeff and Annette Rose, “Amavale”, topped Cows and Calves at $6,200 – selling to Stan Johnson, Kenilworth. Mt Brisbane topped at $5,000 for Cows & Calves to average $3,033. Bob & Betty Baker’s “Wundaburra” offering averaged $3,233 for Cows & Calves, topping at $4,300. In the Joined section, the top was $2,500 for a Truvalle heifer selling to Stan and Debbie Corbett. In the Unjoined section, Peter Bauer topped the sale at $3,500 sold to David and Anita Torrisi, Vitwood Droughtmasters.
