“LAGOONA BAY” & “LIZZIE LOU” DISPERSALS 31/7/10 A total of 111 Bid Cards were issued to a record crowd for the two dispersals, held at the Gympie Saleyards on Saturday 31st July, 2010. Top sale honours went to Tim Berry “Lagoona Bay” Stud for his sire, Amavale Turbo which brought $7,000 sold to Michael Bardon, “Pipers Gully” Dallarnil. Top Lagoona Bay female price of $4,250 went to Paul and Lisa Laycock, Redland Bay for Lagoona Bay Carik which was in calf, AI’d to Glenlands Imparja and depastured with Cedar View Ford.
2nd top female of the sale purchased by L. and K. McMaster, “Jindabyne”, Bungunya, – account “Lagoona Bay” made the price of $3,200, being Lagoona Bay Davis a three year old daughter of Glenlands Imparja in calf to the well reknowned Amavale Turbo.
“Lagoona Bay” topped the averages for the day, having a total clearance of 112 head, averaging $1,609. The top female – account “Lizzie Lou” was Lot 128 Lizzie Lou Odette, a classy female with impressive bloodlines, in calf to Billabong Ridley and sold to Paul and Lisa Laycock, Redland Bay. “Lizzie Lou” also having a total clearance of 96 head averaging $1,545. Overall – for the total sale – 209 grossed $330,100, averaging $1,579 to achieve 100% clearance. Buyers came from
- Springsure, Brisbane Valley, Goondiwindi, Monto, Dallarnil, Biloela,
Wanmuran, Wide Bay, Murgon, Brisbane, Redlands, and local areas.
