D & G LIVESTOCK MEDIA RELEASE GYMPIE DISPERSALS & Breeder Clearance 29/5/10 A total of 60 Bid Cards were issued for the two dispersals and one breeder clearance sale, held at the Gympie Saleyards on Saturday 29th May, 2010. Top sale honours went to Jeff and Cheryl Weis’ “Misty Waters” Stud for their sire, Strathfield X-Appeal which brought $10,000 going to David and Anita Torrisi, “Vitwood” Droughtmasters. Top female price
of $3,500 went to Rod Saunders’ “Jaffa” Stud, Childers, for an ex-Show
female – RSVP Anastasia – which went back to the original owner’s stable
of “Monique” Droughtmasters, daughter stud of RSVP, Windera. 2nd top price of the day went to Dennis and Claire Couper’s “Maverick” Stud for their sire Calioran Kenway, at $3,600 going to Ron and Jenny Miller of Durramcourt, Gunalda. “Misty Waters” topped the averages for the day, having a total clearance of 38 head, averaging $2,034. Overall – for the total sale – 107 grossed $179,800, averaging $1,680 to achieve an 88% clearance. Buyers came from Rockhampton, Murgon, Kingaroy, Chinchilla, Bundaberg, Haden, Jondaryan, Brisbane Valley, Pittsworth, Dallarnil and local areas. Bulk buyers included
