Topping at $9,000 late in the sale, on account of the Purnell Family’s stud “Calioran” of Rockhampton was a magnificent 23 months old unjoined female, Calioran Modesty, a Swan Ironman daughter out of a home bred ET female by Talgai Impact.  She was proudly purchased by Dave Bryan, Aragon Stud, Delaneys Creek.  Dave Bryan also purchased equal second top price of $6,000 for the Trott Family’s Lormist Stud’s, Lormist Roberta, a Swan Kingston daughter with a very impressive 8 months old heifer calf at foot, by Billabong Rumford.

Equal second top price of $6,000 on the day was another Calioran unjoined female, Calioran Linette, a 23 months old Calioran Gilbert daughter out of a home bred ET female by Swan 609.  She was eagerly snapped up by up and coming young enthusiast Chris Kirby, Eli Park, Emerald.  Calioran had a very successful day with five joined females averaging $2700 and 18 unjoined averaging $2975 whilst their seven packages of semen comprising forty straws averaged $232 / straw topping at $410 for Swan 609.
