A change of venue to a new selling complex at Coolabunia Saleyards, Kingaroy will be a feature of D. & G. LIVESTOCK’s South Burnett 5th Annual Tropical All Breeds Sale to be held on Thursday 14th September, 2006 and the 2nd Annual Charolais and Charbray Sale on Saturday 23rd September, 2006.
The new complex will take the sale venue into equal class of any given Queensland location. Some of the major innovations for future sales are
Some 5,000 kms have been travelled traversing the greater part of Sth. Queensland from Lowmead to Maleny, Beaudesert to Darling Downs and into the Miles and Monto districts inspecting suitable bulls for both sales. The selection criteria set down for 2006 has in fact seen the lead of all studs inspected to be part of the 2006 draft bound for the D. & G. LIVESTOCK sale calendar. Bull numbers in both sales this year are strong and so is the quality, which will be equal to any sale held in Australia. This year will see a small number of seed stock sires at both of the sales which would be an asset in any breeder’s stud.

Coolabunia Saleyards are situated a few kilometres from Nanango on the Kingaroy road. Both the Nanango and Kingaroy motels could be used for both buyers and vendors. As is usual in the past there will be licensed functions at the saleyards on the evenings prior to the sales – for vendors and early buyers wanting to view the yarding. D. & G. LIVESTOCK will organise bus services to and from motels for the functions to alleviate the necessity to drive private vehicles.
